I named My Big Blue Dog Toby after the first dog I had as a child. Toby was a Kelpie cross and was with me for the first twelve years of my life. I’ve never forgotten him and now he’s with me in spirit every day.

My favourite thing about owning a Blue Wheelers franchise is being able to be out on the road and visit a different group of wonderful dog customers every day. Being able to spend my working day with dogs every day is a dream come true, it’s impossible to be unhappy when you’re greeted by such friendly furry faces.
I was inspired to become a Blue Wheeler when I decided that I wanted to have a career that I enjoyed. Blue Wheelers offers a chance to become your own boss and balance your work and life schedules in a way that best suits your own lifestyle. I decided to name my Big Blue Dog trailer Dallas Blue, or Dallas, after my favourite Musician – Dallas Green.
My dog Toby is a seven year old golden retriever. He runs a tight schedule, sleeping all day and playing with his brother & then as soon as we get home he knows it’s time for dinner, and he will sing to us until it’s cooked. Once dinner is completed he comes in to watch his favourite TV show and give the family cuddles.
Before becoming a Blue Wheeler I completed a degree in High School teaching. As a teacher I developed skills in communication and building rapport students and families, which helps when building relationships with my customers. Importantly I learnt the value of patience and persistence, which definitely helps when grooming dogs that aren’t used to the grooming experience yet.
